John C. Roper jcrope1@baseballworld-nashua.com John pitched for the Cincinnati Reds and was a top pitching prospect throughout all of his Minor League years. He spent three years on the Reds Major League Team and a short stint with the San Francisco Giants. His last season pitching for the Reds, John was 6-2 in 1994 before the league went on strike. Between 1995 and 1998, John had three major shoulder surgeries, which landed him pitching with the Nashua Pride where he won 14 games and led the team to the 2000 championship. While in the Atlantic League, John was in the top five winningest pitchers in the Pride history. John has been coaching and teaching baseball to youth since 1990. John's Philosophy In order to make it to the next level, in baseball and in every area in life, it is up to each individual to work hard and Get It Done! When the team comes together as one with this attitude, you will experience great success and self-satisfaction as a team and as an individual.
